Warning Light

Hi Guys,

I have just bought my first Boxster, and although awesome, i have had some troubles with it siince the first drive home!

Apart from the stereo sound cutting out every few seconds (which is probably just a loose connection), the 'Emission Control Warning Light' has permanently lit up. I'm sure I didnt spot this on the test drive! I looked in the manual but it is very vague on what this could mean.

It is a 97 R Registration, has anyone got any ideas?

This hasn't put me off though, i am looking forward to enjoying this amazing machine!

Thanks alot!

Nick

There are a hundred reasons for the light to come on. No way to know why without knowing the fault code(s). Just keep driving and if the fault is not detected again it will go off after a while. There is a UK Boxster board by the way, boxa.net.
