Movie suggestions

Meet the blacks - for the ones that are into spoofs/comedy/joke-filled movies :D

Under the Skin really got under my skin recently. Saw it for the first time last week. The common folk reviews aren't great, but critic reviews were stellar, so I picked it up at the Redbox. Not much dialogue...very visual...haunting music.

Freaked. Me. Out.

Melancholia on Netflix is a good watch. Could do without most of the first half, but if you stick through it, the second half is worth it. The visuals in this movie are absolutely beautiful and the looming, ever growing wayward wandering planet in the sky, ultimately leading to an apocalyptic planetary collision, still gives me nightmares. :)
Amazing camera work and SFX.

I'm not big on Hollywood. Indie and foreign films are where the real gems are. ;)

Just seen the trailer for Under the skin

Movie looks intense to say the least, it is on the agenda tonight.
Thanks Particlewave

Meet the blacks was an alright comedy, threw a few back before watching it:cheers:
Immature humor, a tad bit racist( with genre and title, it was a given). Overall, just silly silly silly. Got to have an open mind to all types of humor to watch this.

An oldie, but always a goodie, will have to be Dazed and Confused. Watched this again just this past weekend, and still funny as S*******t! Here's a trailer

great movie, fantastic soundtrack. if you liked that, check out solaris - anything with a soundtrack by cliff martinez tends to be good (the knick?).

Oh yeah...I've owned Solaris for years and still enjoy it. ;)

Finally saw Kingsmen the other day. What a great old fashioned spy movie. Very James Bond-esque. Highly recommend.

American Sniper, Unforgiven, Gran Torino, HeartBreak Ridge, Big Jake.

Dead Man. A strange movie.
Trailer
I was taking a college art class and the instructor had us watch it. Some scenes were disturbing -the fawn- yet I kept being drawn to it, and had to watch it through the end. ...the end... If you do watch it be sure to have something light and uplifting as a follow-on.
I both wish I had never seen it, and want to watch it again. Particlewave, if you haven't already seen it, add it to your list.
Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Dead-Man-Johnny-Depp/dp/B00DU6UAQA

Black and White
Neil Young soundtrack
Native American culture
Robert Mitchum's final film
Johnny Depp on a journey to his death.

Looking for something to watch with your significant other that won't leave you suicidal?
Stardust (2007)
Classic?
The Naked Jungle (1954)
Comedy?
The Gods Must Be Crazy II

Natural Born Killers, IMHO had one of the all-time best soundtracks
