Pegasus Launch
Those of you who know me are aware I am sort of an aviation nut. I grew up around rockets and aviation and it's in my blood. Tonight was the launch of Pegasus from the belly of an L-1011 at 40,000' carrying a small NASA solar science satellite into orbit. My deck faces west and I figured we might get a good show if atmospherics cooperated.
Denied! Not even a whisper of a contrail was visible... Rats! The sunset view and the beer were good though. Looking forward to the Space X Merlin launch later this summer. That one might require a road trip. |
Thats too bad you couldn't track it.
I'm an aviation nut too, and participant. https://picasaweb.google.com/118388745157890389551 |
I watched this launch. I've never watched a launch from the belly of a jet into space. Was supper cool.
