Our President Has Been Humbled

Looks like the Republicans are getting what they wanted and maybe a lot more over the next 2 years. Just shows you, if you screw up with the people, the people strike back. It seems Obama Care has become the Achilles heel for the Democrats. I also noticed even though Dems voted and forced this bill through they ran and hid their heads in the sand hoping no one noticed. In 2 more years they will take note, that we noticed and are giving you notice. Your FIRED! :ah:

Merry Christmas You All.......

Also bear in mind, and I am sure you do, that it was the conservative T-party and Independent voters that saw the train wreck that Progressive Socialism is doing to the country and want no part of it. The average Republican Don who has been enjoying the good life off the peoples back along with the Dems. have got to see the light. Govt. spends too much on itself and only takes away from the creators of the wealth. Nothing in the Constitution justifies such behavior. WE now have Govt. of, by and for Govt. and the rest of us better pay up or else. If Republicans go against the will of the people as last Nov. 2nd has shown, then they will be given their walking papers too. Has anyone else noticed that "compromise" usually means the tax increase will be just a bit less than first expected? How about a compromise when taxes actually go down for a change? Dept of Ed. consumes 90 billion annually and for what? Dept. of Energy 24.7 Billion and for what? Tremendous savings by abolishing both and that is just a start. We sill see....

Nothing in our constitution guarantees " the good life ". Our country is based on Free Enterprise and those people who chose to educate themselves, take a chance by investing money into the economy, work hard and be prepared to fail should not be considered the " bad guys ". I was at a 60th Birthday party last week and was sitting next to a very liberal friend of mine. He is now a retired Government employee who is getting a nice pension. His job was to teach " lifers " in prison how to get a job. He started carrying on about the " Fat Cats " and I simply asked him how many success stories he had in 25 years with the government, how many families he helped feed besides his own and what portion of the economy he helped produce or create. He looked at me like I had two heads and flippers. Maybe I don't understand. Ed

Well Allen & cvhs...I agree, Government has created a self interest system run by the 2 party system and as I see it, a sham. We waste so much and get so little in return. Department of Education and Energy could be reduced in size, say about the size of a Shop N Go and we would have gotten the same results. They are two realities here...one which the average guy, woman or family lives in and one that the Government lives in. These officials need to live in our shoes for 10 years and see what it's like...bet they would have a whole different attitude about what Government should be doing.

I always wondered why the US needed a Dept of Education? :D

I Have An Idea!!!

How about lowering my malpractice ins and raising my payments from the leeches at the ins. companies...I have to be told what I can and can't do for patients because they (ins co's) have decided that someone who took business accounting knows better for our patients than someone with a medical degree... :D

oh and I am all for free college for those who work for it, not those who get it because they break the laws...ie. illegal immigrants...

my opinons are mine alone and do not reflect those of others....

They are also mine. Ed

PS. Dept of Education would be alright if they educated our children

There is no such thing as "free college." There is such as thing as others paying for others college.

Let's face it....we haven't changed much since we where kids playing, "King Of The Hill". Politics is a game of destroying the other fellow...I just not sure who started it, but I believe it was when this country was founded and we received our Constitution. Again I am not sure, but Jefferson was for a Republic System and Hamilton for a Federal System. Never heard if they labeled themselves as Democrats or Republicans in those early days of our Country. What we need to do is now refine our system and come together so both sides can claim Victory. Not victory as in destroying but as in we are now a Patriotic system and we can now stand truly as, We The People".... :)

Both parties get drunk from power when they can control everything. Both spend crazy when they get the chance to put their priorities into effect. Compromise is the way it should be and following real rules that cannot be undone. Lyndon Johnson raided Social Security to create the Great Society and that's another Government failure. And now look at Europe's Social System that the Dems want to model...another failure coming soon. People want more than the Government can supply without destroying middle class completely.

If you read up on Jefferson you will find out that he did not think that a true democracy would work, He said that the average person would try and get what was best for himself and scr*w the rest of the Country. He wanted to create an Educational Elite from which to draw the leaders and his best idea was a ruling panel of 3 people and not a single moron. This country has gotten too complex for rule by one president. Ed

Well Ed, you are right about it being to complex to run. Too much Government, creative financials, people wanting too much. Yes, it is a House of Cards that will fall...not if, but when. :(
