windows

The windows are to go down a little when you activate the door latch. My question is, how does the car know how far to lower the window? Is it based on time, a limit switch, encoder etc. Based on what the control system is, is there a way to adjust the control to get extra motion?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
PS I have taken all the slack out of the cables I could find.

If somebody could tell me how this control system works I would appreciate it!

Window Regulator

Have tried the "fixes" for the window to go down when opening the door.
SO Time to Replace the Regulator
I read somewhere that the URO units are good.
My question is, there appears to be two available the "Standard one and one listed as "Premium" on Pelican Parts. Why Two?
Is there a real difference and more importantly is one better then the other?
Thanks
