Climate control blink

Noob question I can’t find answered in search. Is it normal for the climate control display to blink with chime when I first turn on the car? AC and heat all seem to work just wondering if this is normal. 2003 Boxster S with Bose and aftermarket stereo. I mention the aftermarket stereo bc Durametrics shows some codes for the removal of factory stereo.
