986 street suspension

Hello,

I am new to the forum, so hello everyone. I have a 2000 Boxster with 32,000 miles and I am interested in a better street suspension, I live in Arizona and we have quite a few roads with switch backs and marvelous turns and hills. I am looking for ideas on upgrading the suspension. Any information would be greatly appreciated

A number of 986 owners speak highly of the Bilstein PSS - XX shocks and springs. They adjust for height so you can play around with lowering for improvements. I have the PSS9 (older version) on my 2001S at stock ride height and I really like it, but it was on the car when I bought it so I can't speak to exactly how it is better than stock.

Go for the Porsche M030 sport suspension
The ROW version will lower the car around 15 MM IIRC
USA version does not change the ride height

No need to go with coilovers for spirited street driving

ROW M030.

Buy the kit from Suncoast Porsche.

Perfect for real world street.

I’ve run coilovers on past sports cars and it is overkill for street.

I upgraded my 2002 2.7 to ROW M030 (except for the sways bars, and like it. Pretty firm ride, but not harsh.

I now have the sway bars, and will be installing those shortly.
