Didn't expect this.

Hi,
I'm a newbie to Porsche.
Came home last week, open the garage door and there was my wife in front of a car.
What's this i asked, its 1999 Boxster, and why is it here, well i bought it.
Great, perfect another project. She was told it sat in a garage for a year or two. Had
it towed to our house. i got to looking at the all the paperwork and it sat in the garage for 4 years.
Someone had looked at it and told her the engine was blown and would't start. I put in a new battery, threw in a few gallons of fresh gas, turned the key and started right up, blowing alot of white smoke, so i shut it down.
so, i ordered up the Porsche 101 book, and i figure i have to fix the following before I turn the key again:
drain the gas tank, new fuel filter, new fuel pump
new oil and oil filter (way to much oil in the car)
new-AOS
new plugs
drain and flush the radiator

That's for starters, my question is there something else i should do before i start?
i look forward to learning about this car, and getting it back to running.
Any help, advice, thoughts-greatly appreciated!
