Greetings,
I just picked up my '00 Boxster S yesterday. If the first 24 hours are any indiction of how much fun this little car is, than I'm gonna be hooked for awhile. So here's my first question for you guys: The previous owner set up the car with the larger 996 Plenum and Throttle Body, as well as the 987 Airbox. And I gotta say, it sounds pretty awesome. What he didn't do is re-map the ECU and dyno it. I'd imagine that there are at least 20 other threads that address this, but maybe somebody has the reader's digest version for me. Also, I live in the SF Bay Area and will need to find a place that can do the re-map for me. Many thanks in advance. ~Eric |
Congratulations on the new toy. No help unfortunately with the remap.

from what I understand, the plenum & intake mods don't need a remap for their gains.

I found that the stock tune seems to work better with intake changes as opposed to off the shelf software. Custom programming is another story.
