986 Clamshell stuck open

Hi there, I have a 2001 Boxster and as I put the top up it seemed the motor was having a difficult time moving the top up, like it was binding somewhere. The top is up but the clamshell is still up and stuck open with the left side higher than the right side. The motor is still working but the top will only move slightly up and down when I push the button up and down. Any thoughts on how to correct this? Thanks

I initially had an issue on my clamshell as well. On the Clamshell passenger side, one of the metal clips that secures clamshell to an arm popped off and was not allowing clamshell to move on one side. The previous owner had the top replaced and this was probably a result.
