First Porsche - First Convertible

I've never considered buying a convertible but I've always lusted after Porsches since I was kid.

So when a colleague of mine picked up a 991 C4S and decided to sell his 03 S, I couldn't pass it up because being the Porsche fanatic he is, I knew the car was in great shape and that it was well cared for.

I picked it up 3 weeks ago and I can't stop grinning when I drive it and always want to do so with the top down.

4 1/2 hours to Tail of the Dragon and other nice Twisties. You will get a whole new appreciation for the car's abilities

Welcome and My favorite color

The car looks great. Had my 03's for 2 years now and I still have a grin on my face. You live in a great area for that car. Plenty of great roads real close.

Thanks! I’ve definitely learned that one quickly; my farmer’s tan is evidence of that.. LOL

Love the Tail; been on it many times and I can’t wait to take this one out there soon! And I also love the color; it took a while to grow on me but it’s definitely a good one.

Thanks! I’m lucky I got one with all of the major issues already taken care of like the rear main, IMS, etc. so I can truly focus on driving and appreciating it on some of the great roads we’ve got around here.

Ditto what everyone else said and congrats! I've had my new to me, but well-sorted 03 base since last fall and every day spent behind the wheel is a good day. You grow to expect the reactions you get when people ask what year it is and you tell them it's a 13 yo car!
