Hi....just got my first Porsche....1999 Boxster with 52,000 miles...looking for guidance/background on IMS bearing failures...understand that about 5 percent of Boxsters experience this....what are the real facts.

Welcome. Please share a pic of your car. As for the IMSB, your car has a dual row bearing; the failure rate for that bearing is less than 1%. As you can imagine, there are numerous threads on this topic, and the customary advice in such cases is that you ought to perform a search (as opposed to asking a very broad question).

I see your questions were answered. Desnorkleing is a zero cost method of adding more growl to the engine (at about 4K RPM). Like anything, opinions differ. I haven't had any problems and really enjoy the sound.

There are a couple of methods to get the stickers off the visors. I already had a product called uni-solve (in small squares like alchohol pads). It's strong stuff so be careful not to make a mess. The visors can be removed from the car to make it easier. Clean the visors well after de-stickering and enjoy the results.
