Hi guys,

I've been thinking about buying a Bixster S for some time. I happened to be at the Qualcomm Stadium today in San Diego and came across Porsche Performance Driving School. I was granted an access to the pits and walk around.
I saw many beautiful Porsches' and I'm sold on the Boxster S.

Anyway, I just found this S and would like your opinion.

The car has couple of needs. It will need a cat bank 2 replacement. The check engine light goes in and out because of it. Also the window regulators on both driver and passenger side are making the nosies they will need to be replaced at some time, but they both work work fine just a little noisy.
The car has Never been on track, smoked in, or abused otherwise.

Thank you for your time and look forward to any response

Classic colour combo, great performance, maintenance performed, well cared for...
If you don't...I will!

Did he do an IMS bearing replacement / upgrade when the clutch was done?

There's nothing wrong with that car that some money can't fix when and if it's needed... budget $2k a year in repairs and maintenance and tires and you'll be fine. some years it will only be oil changes and other years it will be a lot more stuff, but $2k on average is what you'll probably end up spending the first 2-3 years, even though a bunch of things have been fixed on the car. (These cars have suspension parts that wear out far faster than any other brand you've owned.)

$12k... not bad for a nice S that's been cared for. You should go for it.

Be sure to get a thorough PPI on the car. Ask the tech to look for suspension ball joint wear and especially wheel bearing problems... 93k and 13 years on the car means they're ready to be replaced if they haven't been replaced yet.

If it needs these things, get an estimate and take it off his $12k asking price.
