I'm not an expert either. But I've read most all of the posts on at least 3 sites over the last 5 years. These are the things I've picked up on from those who own 100K+ cars. If you can't sleep at night over this then change the bearing out with a upgrade kit.
(Rule 1) Drive the car regularly and often
(Rule 2) Change the oil, For most 15000 miles is 2 years or more. The consensus is letting used stagnant oil in the engine cause acids to build. This will erode bearing surfaces.
(Rule 3) If storing change oil going into and out of storage. So what Waste $80 dollars of oil. New Engine Going price $14,500 or Online $5,000 to $8,500
(Rule 4) Cut down inspect your filters
(Rule 5) Change the clutch Change the bearing.
(Rule 6) Drive the car regularly and often.
