1999 Boxster Cabriolet
 
I am thinking of buying this Boxster and taking my chances. According to a local shop it is in need of a new transmission. the owner is selling it for 5K. What do you guys think?

May need more than that, bill could equal one that does not work. These cars can get expensive to repair.

What I found out from the owner is that there is a fluid leak and the shop said it might be from the transmission and it cost 5K to trace what causes the fluid leak

Have it inspected by 3rd party. Might be a great deal.

All Boxsters are cabriolets. Not all cabriolets are Boxsters.
