New, but not new...

I sold my 2007 Cayman to buy a John Deere cab tractor... my wife and I could not stand being without a Porsche, and stumbled upon a cherry '01 Boxster S, one owner car with 38k miles. Seal Gray on Platinum, it is just perfect!

Looking forward to lots of good info on this site!

Brought her home last night...

Congrats

A beautiful car. And, you're going to be so happy you went topless. And when you get a chance, get on over Austin way to enjoy that new toll road. It's a blast.

Welcome home!

Looks just like mine, down to the clear markers. Guessing it originally came from Boardwalk?

Now if you could just get rid of that front plate ;)

Thanks!!

The car was originally purchased in California, then owner moved to Texas in '04. Was serviced at Porsche North Houston since then...

Wish I could ditch the plate, but it is a sure traffic stop here...:mad:http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1373990749.jpg

was it driven regularly? The low mileage cars always scare me because I'm afraid someone let it sit and IMS is caused by not driving the vehicles regularly. I was even afraid buying my '06 with only 50,000 miles on it even though '06 has the new bearings

Near as I can tell it was driven weekly. Never sat for long time. I was nervous too, but the car was so perfect we could not pass it up. We looked at a lot of junk...and my indie liked it...

Performed an oil change on Saturday, refinished a few interior bits and installed an IP-BKR2 cord for my IPOD. Next going to swap out the cupholder for a shelf. And I ordered some Ultimate Drinkholders... she's slowly becoming mine!!

BTW: I NEVER thought I'd own a Tip. Every sports car I have ever owned, (X1/9, RX7's, Miata, Cayman, etc) have all been manual. I decided to try one, and was pleasantly suprised. For this car's intended purpose in my stable, it's perfect!

Nice. I've just bought a 2002 seal grey with hardtop in Melbourne, Australia. Brought it home yesterday morning. I like the red brake caliper covers on yours... because that the mod i want to do! I was initially also keen to replace and upgrade the cd/radio head unit but now I have the car I'm not so sure I want to change the original look too much.
