Gas Prices hicked and still going.....

So whats the gas prices getting like for everyone now, considering we are at war???
I paid $2.12 US Dollars per gallon today. I live in Virginia. That is the highest I have seen it since the last time Bush Sr. was in confilict with Iraq. And even then I dont remember over $2.05
I want to hear what others are paying.

I paid $1.96 in Orlando this morning. Helluva time to trade in my Civic Si.:D

Gas prices in Southern California

Gas prices in Southern California are the highest I have ever seen them. I have seen stations charging up to $2.59 a gallon for premium unleaded. The most I have paid so far is $2.45 a gallon, but you can also find it for as "low" as $2.25 a gallon. All prices for premium unleaded. About the lowest I have seen recently for regular unleaded is about $2.07 a gallon.

Gas prices falling!

Call for a Congressional inquiry! This sounds like a job for Barney Frank! Seriously, here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts gas prices have fallen recently. I filled up this morning with Super 94 octane for $1.77 per gallon. Regular is down to $1.51 in my town. Once the war is over I expect further declines for a great summer driving season.

Well I would love to keep the optimizm about the war being over by summer. I am in support of our troops and our war in the Middle East and I thin we could be looking at some of the highest gas prices ever this summer if the war continues through it.
I miss the days of $1.25 for Super :(

$.29 Super 104 octane

Miss the days, back when I was tooling around in my 67 Stingray I remember buying 104 octane for 29 cents a gallon in New Orleans! Those were the days. Skinny bias ply tires, 425 hp and you could fill up the tank for $5.00 bucks and buy a hamburger and coke for $1.00. Now, I guess I've given away my age - official old geezer.

Prices dropped again yesterday

Last night on the way home I noticed that the prices had dropped another 4 cents yesterday. Down to $1.73 for Super.

Strange

Why are the prices falling in Mass and going up in Northern VA???
2 months ago gas prices around here WERE $1.75 Doesnt make any sense how pricing varies so much from region to region....

William Harris 03-27-2003 04:15 AM

Go Figure!

Is there any logic to gas pricing? All I know is that my clients who own gas stations always claim that no matter how much the price goes up they don't make any money! To which I respond: Yada Yada Yada!

Supamatt 03-27-2003 08:36 AM

WTF?!?!? I just paid $1.72/gallon last night. I give up, I'm not going to even look at the price anymore.

ehljags 03-30-2003 03:45 PM

$1.85/gallon in NE Florida, yesterday, for Hightest. not so bad relatiuve to 1.25 Euro/liter (~$5.15/gal, US) in Belgium and Holland in mid-January.

Here in northern california you can expect to pay anywhere between 2.40 and 2.90 for the premium gas. Which in california is pegged at 91 octane (or is it 90.5?) at the regular gas stations (race gas aside).
