Can we start thinking about our next drives?

I sure enjoyed the mini drive we had a few weeks ago. Also (sadly) as the Summer wraps up it might be time to start thinking about a Fall drive or two. I think everyone wants to do a repeat of last years Mt. Equinox drive. We're going to definately put on some new rubber before that one :D it would be nice to get a drive in Sept and Oct. Equinox in Oct is obvious for foliage reasons. What about Sept?

This is a busy month for me, with a week vacation towards the end. I might be able to do something but I can't count on it.

We should start the foliage plans soon, too. If there were two things we learned from last year they are to avoid the Equinox Hotel; and to go a little later to see more foliage.

Charlie,

I don't distinctly remember anything wrong with the Equinox Hotel?

Maybe you were at a "good" table; where I sat we waited about 1 1/2 hours for food! The White House was good that we did in 2001, but they only have a Sunday buffet (no lunch on Saturdays).

My table had finished eating and a few other tables had yet to receive their food. It was a fun drive none the less. I am hoping to meet up with you guys again.

Service

Don't you just hate slow service like that? I mean really, I want to eat in a reasonable amount of time and not wait an hour to see something to eat.

What date are you guys planning for the fall foliage drive? I am thinking of taking some time off and driving up to Burlington right after.

Well, I haven't check any foliage calculations yet, but I'll admit I did a bad job last year--the trees were all green still!

I think we are looking at early October, though. Check out this cool link:
