Ok, agreed, we got a great deal on the yet to be received S....making the deal was the easy part, and even getting Porsche Financial to agree on letting us out of our buyout was easy.
Getting the check back from Porsche Financial took longer than expected. The bank is taking their sweet old time in clearing the money so that we can complete our transaction.
But the
worst!!! was going to the insurance company to start the paperwork for registering the car. Not only do I have to get the car re-inspected (apparently the inspection follows the plate!), but they charged us
sales tax on the NADA value of the car, which was much higher than the price we actually paid!
The whole concept is a major
RIPOFF -- it's amazing....they can get away with such highway robbery, literally!
Sorry for the rant.....but any of you out there in MA who plan on buying used in the private market, just be aware you'll get taxed just the same!
