Headlight film to aesthetically change fried egg

So I decided to try out a vivid dark headlight tint film to try to change the look of the fried egg headlights. I think I like the results but I’m not sure yet. I’ll live with it for a while before I fully decide. I used vivid dark headlight film I got on Amazon for pretty cheap, wrapped the whole lens f then cut out the main reflector oval. Took about an hour f cost about $20, what do you think?http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1701052332.jpg

Please excuse the filthy car & garage.

I like it better than the plastic covers, looks more like a 993, which I like. I bought some tinted film for mine, haven't had a chance to refurb the headlights yet, one more winter project. If I don't like it I'll probably go this route.

Tacky.

It looks like you put tint film on your headlights in order to look like a car that it's not. :barf:

I found an old post were someone put mirror tint film on their headlights and it looked really nice….fried egg and all. Once I restore mine I may go that route. I think the fired egg looks fine as long as there is no yellowing whatsoever.

Turn Signals

Are the front turn signals visible through the wrap?

Yes it’s a headlight film in medium, when the bulbs light up it’s about 80% of what it would be without the tint. I put in brighter led’s & now it’s about the same or a bit brighter than before the changes.
