brake-locking anti-theft mod

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I discovered (the worst way possible) that my car has a strange mod.

Apparently the previous owner installed a key under the dash that locks the brakes.

I always assumed it was a ignition electrical cut type thing...

I only discovered this cause I was showing the car to a friend, he fiddled with it without my knowledge. When I tried to move the car wouldn't budge.

This involved getting a special trailer that could support the front wheels of the car and towing it to a Porsche Centre, where they discovered this.

I will be getting my car back later today but wondering if someone could share some details on this type of mod.
