As soon as I am finished designing and printing sensor enclosures for my Autöcar system, I will take another shot at the roll bar cover and mesh inserts.

If it won't work out using PLA or ABS plastic, it will certainly work out with ninjaflex (flexible TPE)...if I have the patience to rev 10 designs that is.

You definitely can, for that we would need a single plane design though.
