Help--seat bottom

Hi guys,

Need help. While taking out seat to recondition the passenger side leather, a rubber tube dropped out and I didn't see where it came from. It's 15-18 inches long with metal pieces protruding from each end about 1-2 inches long. Anyone have any idea what they are and where they go? Could they go into the top of the seat motors? What do they do? Thanks, Larry

If you post this in the "General Discussions" forum, you'll probably get more responses than you would in the "DIY Project Guides" forum ;)

Also, a picture would help.

You are a life saver

Your illustrations showed me exactly where it goes. It's on the bottom not the seat backi. It's #5 in the fourth illustration. Not sure what it does but at least I know where it goes.

Any idea what it does?

Thanks, Larry

No problem. ;)
It appears to be the seat back position adjust drive cable.

Here is the link for the parts catalog (illustrations showing every last nut and bolt).
