WooHoo!!!!

Fred,

So sorry to hear about your dog. If it can do that to a dog it seems like it could affect humans as well, be careful and stay well.

kjc2050 05-26-2015 05:01 PM

Fred, hope your dog is ok. Scary stuff!

BFeller 05-26-2015 05:52 PM

My thoughts are with you and hope things turn out well.

Rottweiler Dog Poisoning by Insecticides

(Some of you fellas are rock solid friends, thanks for the kind words)

We are all back home. And already back to work - finally. Go Go SkyBreaker!

I was reading your msg from the vet but couldn't reply until I reach my home PC today. Phone VPN doesn't like the reply form box thingy... never fully loads up on my Windows Phone. Definitely can read tho so huge thanks again

Little J.J is sleeping/recovering on his mum's favorite sofa atm (special pass) while Thor (his brother) is outside in his backyard 'alone' lolllll Lost a lot of weight poor thing, didn't had a single bite for the last 5 days other than trying to chew out the drip-butterfly thing he has tapped on his wrist (lost 6 kilos)

Few notes to log what "Rottweiler Dog Poisoning by Insecticides" does and treats. Google to pick up those, might become useful for anyone in the same situation. I've posted the same on the Rottie.net forum a few minutes ago

Test results as it went - in case you have similar on your dog.

Treatment:
5x 400ml Drips (with Ampicillin) each day / for 3 consecutive days (24hrs)
4x Fever reducers (unknown drug name)
2x Hypertension/high blood pressure control (unknown drug name)
3x Blood work, 4x urine tests, + other Test Kits to rule out common disease (distemper, Lyme, HW, parasites, etc)

4 days/evening/nights later + $1,600, the dog is at finally home since this evening and so am I. Not doing 100% good but at least we got his kidney well under control and the fever back to normal.

According to his Vet he will make it out without 'too much' permanent damage(s). Whatever that means nobody can be 100% sure without a visual (i.e surgery). So we may never find out.

Unlike myself, be a responsible pet owner if you live in a populated city. Be dbl-more-vigilant if you live in a country where conditions are less than perfect.

ps. the management office have agreed to stop using ALL Insecticides where we live. Why? My wife have carried out a pretty in-depth research and found out that the stuff they use have been banned for use China-wide more than a year ago - the mgt didn't know. The villa had stocks and were still using it  The manufacturer told us the chemical loose all of its lethal capacity within one month - faster if it rains a lot.

Glad that JJ is home, hopfully all be well

amitmishra4 05-28-2015 11:53 AM

That's a bit of a relief - I am sure a lot of your friends on here were holding their breath, me included, waiting for some good news. JJ is part of your family and I am sure I speak for everyone on here when I say that he is in our prayers.

kjc2050 05-28-2015 02:06 PM

Wow. What a relief, Fred; from your description, I was pretty worried. Hope JJ recovers fully with no lasting effects. Daisy says hello and best wishes to JJ...

First and foremost So glad JJ IS going to be ok! If you were here in Australia the vet would have cost you 3 times what you paid Fred. On another note, hope you and your wife haven't been adversely affected by the banned chemicals! Also you really should see if you can get the management of your complex to pay for the vet and any other expenses you encountered. It IS THEIR FAULT remind them of that Fred it's not fair you be made to pay for THEIR "not knowing" the chemicals were banned. Hope you know a good lawyer there. Sorry but that really gets under my skin it's no excuse to say "we didn't know" people's lives are at stake here. Anyway my 2 cents. Glad JJ is good. Cute dog by the way. Did you get the dogs in China or did you bring them with you from Canada?:cheers: take care

I disagree. It would have been lost in the off topic section, it was important enough to be posted where everyone was sure to see it. Now if you start posting pictures of your dogs balancing bones on their noses...

Great news that JJ is doing well and at home. He does seem to some odd thing hanging out of his mouth.... perhaps some new Rottie upgrade you've devised.

Looks good, exact same one I ordered. Is this the original skybreaker or the new best in the world version? :)

In the SkyBreakers News;

They have all left to the post office yesterday, Sunday! You'll get yours soon, unbelievable.... and sorry if it took 3 weeks. "Months" for other fellas

Other news... I think my life was reduced of MIN 25~35 years for smoking all of that pmma vapor. Was a short tripping party, thank god

Updating your tracking #s as the Poffice here email them bk to me. Its random, they are releasing by batch, little-by-daily policy (not my rules). Should take the week (4-5days) to update :/

My job's done, I go play for-free and I'll report back RE what I did with your money. Hint: I've reinvested it! look out for the upcoming news lol

Let's see - started at the headlights, moved mid car to the wind deflector. Next stop - LED lights for the spoiler - or a fix to the mysterious single rear fog light......:D

How about a full strip LED center tail light
