Replace cup holders
 

Any advice or guides on how to replace the cup holders in a 2001S?

The cup holder along with the radio is covered by the bezel. Take the bezel off and you'll have access to the screws.

I think it's not safe to use those cup holder, especially if you drink coffee. The cup holder will not hold most cup, even if a grandma drives it.

I'm surprise porsche took 8 years to change the design. I remember Toyota did the same thing with the 96-2003 4runner; 96-98 had the cup holder up high but better than ours but people were having bad reviews abotu it. in 1999, toyota redesign the interior immediately and place the cupholder by the shifter.
