Manual windows
 

Hello all,

I am thinking of slowly apply a minimalist approach to my Boxster... which means go as light as I can and eliminate as much comfort/luxury as I can. For this I am looking to simplify & lighten the doors and would like to convert electric windows to manual. Not sure if it can be done seen the design of how the doors open/close and the windows open/close in sync.... anybody tried this already?.. any ideas ?

I have also been thinking about how to lose the window motors. One idea would be to incorporate pull straps such as those on some early 356 cars. Instead of leather, I'd do red nylon. To accommodate the "drop", I think I would simply not have the window go all the way up.
