Driver's heated seat not working

Quick question: My driver's side seat heater isn't working; switch flashes red when pressing but won't cycle amber / red as it should.

I'm a newbie here; just bought my first boxster and have never worked on a car other than a 67 Mustang I had in college. Could this be a fuse problem or should I look at replacing the switch and/or wiring harness?

Great site!

most likely it's an open heating element circuit in the seat.

Personally I would first check the switch (swap it with the other side). If that doesn't help, remove the seats and swap the relay located under the seat. These are known to break down. If that isn't it, it's like Dave says, most likely a heating element.
