Steering Wheel upgrade to a 987 Hi Guys - im new to the world of Porsche and have just landed myself a 02 S - Which only after 1 month has cost ne a new water pump which left me stranded on the motorway. I have some nice subtle upgrades which came with the car - 987 alloys and lights, but id like to know if i can fit a 987 steering wheel to my 986? does the 986 airbag fi directly in its place if i get a wheel with no air bag????? thanks in advance and any other suggested tweeks / checks i need to do are very much appreciated................Scotty:D |

MADMODZ - Thanks for the reply - soory it may be a bone question, but a friend of mine said i might have issues with the airbag `technicalities` hence my question - So can i buy a 987 wheel and fit my 986 airbag and simply plug it in??? |

Thanks Guys - i have a 3 spoke model - no steering controls. I just fancied the silver tabs as per the newer 987 wheels to match up with the aluminium looking trim within the cabin - they look so much better. Guess thats a massive negative then. |

I bought my car 2nd hand, but the owner told me he didnt like the gold colored emblem so he switched airbags to the silver one. I ended up switching wheels to an aftermarket one. It should fit. Mine did. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...1/IMG_0038.jpg |
