Cold Air Intake Install-Video Inside

This is for the AFE Performance Cold Air Intake. Fits all 986 Boxster's.

It is a very simple and easy job.

Video shows step by step directions and Sound Before/After install:

You can hear the engine is slightly louder after the install.

Could it be that you're parked up against a curb during the after. The curb acting almost like a sound reflector causing the slightly increase in sound in the video?

I did not move the car before and after. Literally shot the After video about 20 minutes after the Before video since the install only took 20 minutes.

The sound increase was real and noticeable, though I still wish it was louder. I'm installing a TS Pro 1 Exhaust System with Test Pipes very soon and also posting a DIY Before/After video on that.

Are you sure you didn't move the car?

If you look at 1:06-1:28 Before and

1:32-End, it's very apparent it's in a different location.

Oh snap. Your right. haha. I forgot that I moved to park it in the shade right after I took the Before video.

But still, the curb is not improving the sound. It is actually that much louder. It is actually very noticeable when I rev the engine or accelerate or start the car since the AFE Intake removes the stock intake hose silencer, provides a 5mm larger diameter intake hose, and a high flow filter that is illegal in California.

But in idle or below 2000 rpm, it sounds normal.
