Amazing brake pads

I just changed the rear brake pads on my wife's '01 986. Big deal, right?

They were the OEM original pads. The car has 131,400 miles on it.

OK, admittedly it has only been on the track one day and she drives gently. It's her daily driver and we don't have a lot of hills here on the Gulf Coast.

But 131k on a set of Brembo/Textar pads? Wow.

That is pretty awesome...I'm thinking about using those..I don't really need brakes as of yet..I have 50k on my 01 however they sometimes squeak at stops signs. So I thought I'd upgrade to the Brembo brakes in the near future..Thanks for the consumer review...

Actually, there was no upgrade to the car involved. The OEM stock 986 pads that I took off (yes from 2001) had both Textar stamped and Brembo lettered on the back of the pads.

I replaced them with Textar again and will run them to 250K or so.....I hope!

I think that our wife's have the same driving style - my wife just got 78,000 miles out of a set of tires in the BMW 325i (the tires were rated for 30K miles).
