Does anyone have any concerns or bad experiences with the serpentine belt offered by ********************************?

Well I went ahead and ordered the one above, did I do the right thing? I have right over 40k miles right now and figured even if my current belt is alright having a spare readily available would be a good idea.

Concern: The price, AutoZone has a Goodyear Gatorback cheaper.
Just have to make sure they sell you the AC version of the belt.

But 40,000 seems a little early, I didn't do mine until 60.

why wouldn't you just go with an original belt. I didn't think 28 dollars is overly expensive

Cuz...AutoZone is 3 miles away. My local dealer is an idiot. And I have had enough OEM stuff on the car break to know that I don't aways want the OEM.

ok I have a belt installation question. When i was doing mine i cranked on the tensioning pulley a couple of times the wrong direction (counter clock wise). Does anyone see that as a problem?? Did i loosen anything while doing that?

No one has answer... drive it and in 100 or 200 miles check it out. And get AAA just in case.

no, you're fine - tt's self adjusting. Just make sure when you put the new belt on you get the ribs lined up w/ the grooves on the other pulleys to prevent any unnecessary wear. Also, keep your old belt as a spare in the car (mine's behind my spare tire) just in case you're stuck in the middle of no where. You'll have better luck finding a 15/16 or 24mm wrench in a pinch than you will a replacement belt Mark on it the direction of travel as well.
