Fuel Filter DIY?
I bought my Box with 82k on it. Now, with 109k on it, I'm wondering if I'm due for a fuel filter replacement.
Pedro's got a good DIY on this, but I'm wondering what the telltale signs are for a clogged fuel filter. Anyone experienced one yet? |
maybe extended crank time!!!
I have a box with 102k. I just replaced the fuel filter myself after logging onto pedro's DIY site. I have to say it was just as he explained.... easy.... But i'm a mechanic.... I would imagine a bad fuel filter would give you extended crank time.... something I have never experienced myself.... Next I'm onto the Pedro Sport Exhaust today....

The fuel filter starts accumulating debris found in gasoline and slowly clogs, making the fuel pump work harder. Eventually the pump fails which is a higher expense and hassle than preventive replacement of the fuel filter. Happy Boxstering, Pedro |
