Thanks but they don't seem to have the plain black ones.

Why not get the brushed aluminum surrounds like on the boxster S? If you are gonna buy new why not a slight upgrade?

I perfer a black one because it goes better with the exterior and interior colors. I would like to find a take off. I'm in the process of installing a 996 Cluster and had to enlarge the opening in the Boxster surround. I made my stock surround too big so I'll have to try again.

Take pics of this modification and how much it cost you. I was thinking of doing this and I saw the 996 instrument cluster for $ 1,000 from a LA Porsche wrecker. I would like the speedometer to be bigger than the Boxster speedometer. I find difficult to read.

I don't think it's difficult to read. Do you use the digital speedometer or the analog?

Always preferred the analog. Digital readouts remind me of the Tokyo by night that japanese cars are known for.
