Hardtops for sale
Just got my most recent Excellence issue. Porsche dealer is advising several different colors of hardtops for sale at $2,999. Those interested check out Excellence or write me for details.

List Price?
Charlie, I think they are advising hoping that buyers are desparate enough to pay full price. Hardtops are generally not available or in stock. Usually dealers acquire these hardtops by ordering them with a car (about $1,000 dealer cost) and then selling the car without them and trying to make the big profit. Got to bargain with them.

William,
Have you heard of any discounting on hardtops? It seems that, given the current economy (as evidenced by recent Boxster discounts), splitting the difference between MSRP and invoice would result in many Boxster owners taking the plunge (who otherwise would not), don't you think?

Hardtops for $2,295
Well, got home last night and checked the ad again. Sale price is $2,295 and I bet you could bargain them down from there. I susupect the Hardtops are not selling well because the ad says they have numerous colors in stock. Maybe they don't have any and are just going to order them as sold. Good Luck.

First you need to make sure you have the appropriate hardware to install a hardtop:

Tool Pants of a DIY hardtop install. I can't find the link to the DVD tho but it's somewhere in this forum.
