1999 Boxster "timing chain collapse" Roller in Nor Cal
SOLD
Not IMS, further check revealed Timing Chain collapse or tensioner drop.
115,400 Miles, 5 speed, clean title, engine still in car / complete, excellent condition, Ca tags until Apr '22, just smogged / good until June 22, new B-Stones RE 71R less than 1K mi, Factory Option BBS wheels, new top couple years ago, seats are like new, ori paint, Arena Red Met, no accidents / damage, no smoke, no dents, body and Interior is excellent, Needs timing chain repair and quit running, towed home. Make excellent project for major repair or swap. PCA Member since '85.

If I didn't already have one on my lift in the same situation, I would be on it. That is a nice-looking car. I really like my 99 in Arena Red.

Let me look under the hood later. Has normal stuff, except for the BBS whl option.
New tires and wheels are worth about $2K-2.5K alone. Besides new top and very nice leather inside.
No accidents / damage
Has spin on filter adapter.

Not IMS, Timing Chain Collapse
No metal in oil, very clean, cut oil filter, nothing on magnet. No oil leak. Noise is like dragging a chain in a bucket. Description of chain failure and
Hall-Effort 1.112 Sensor 1 displayed with Matco Tools Maximus 2.0 No other codes, however engine has not ran since chain or tensioner broke.
Probably require engine removal and or other items, maybe get lucky and be not too much. Sale includes new Napa filter 1042...!
I don't want to mess with it, first come............. first buy! Bring a trailer or car hauler. Make a nice little project!
