Looking for Spec Boxster, hope for a trade?
 

All:
I'm thinking it might be time to move to a real spec boxster. I'm having a blast with my Boxster S, and I'll really hate to part with it, but I need to make the next step and I need a Non-S for that.

I'd be VERY happy if there were someone looking to go the OTHER way, for whatever reason.

Yup, I did. We're engaged in the beginning of a dialog.... and i broached the topic with my wife this evening over ice cream. ;-)

Does anybody here KNOW JamesParker4? I'm getting some really odd, seemingly-shady-activity vibes from him right now. There MIGHT be other explanations for the behavior, so I'm allowing for that, and simply asking if anyone here knows him or has any experience with him?

ok; DEFINITELY shady.

Unless Jamesparker4 would like to defend himself here, (which I'd prefer he do so I don't have to keep thinking bad things about him) I'm going to warn other forum members away from him altogether.

Again; if he can demonstrate a reasonable explanation for his behavior over private messages, then I'll retract this altogether. But right now I don't see a plausible explanation that would make me feel like he isn't looking to prey on the unsuspecting forum members here.

You sent his with an asking price of $20k, and ZERO description. So when I ASKED you for a description, and what has been done to it, you responded with (and I quote) "Everything has been done to it"

Now, perhaps you're not internet savvy, and so this can be overlooked. But the description you sent of this car does not match the car's image, NOR is what you described in any fashion a Spec Boxster.

So, Please, explain to us how this isn't a scam where you're pulling stock images off of the internet, hoping someone will send you money, and then you disappear with it?

I'l tell ya what; you send me a photo of the interior of the car, with your smiling face (or middle-finger in the photo, I don't care which) and then I'll retract my suspicions.

I'm frankly encouraged that you're suddenly responding with some regularity. I hope that I've got you all wrong.

(I hope I haven't offended anyone, I have relatives that are Mormons in Utah, and they joke about all their kids so I'm hoping nobody will get spun up!).

Are you strictly looking for West Coast cars? I know of a couple for sale here in the North East, and heck I'm of the belief that everything is always for sale so I'd throw mine in the mix as well. Proven front runner with full data, needs nothing

He has one of everything, description doesn't match the photo. Ask for more photos and pulls another photo that doesn't match the first.

And is yours up for an interesting trade? ;-)

I'll be shipping regardless of where I buy (not many available in Utah), so I'm not hung-up on where I'm shipping FROM.

It's a scam. That is a photo of a BSR build by Patrick Motorsports. The photo can be found through a Google image search of "spec boxster build".
