For Sale: 98 Boxster black in Northern Virginia - $6000 with hardtop

I have a Black 98 Boxster Tiptronic with 70k miles (as of now 69560 miles) good condition. It also will come with hardtop cover that cost average $1000 that you can use it in winter time.

At 60k miles, I have AOS, MAF sensor, belt, spark plugs, air filter, battery, transmission fluid/filter, fuel filter, brakes and anti-freeze all for preventive maintenance because I don’t like to get stranded. Few repairs I did myself and the rest were done by mechanic and parts I used are genuine OEM not after market including fluids. Oil change every year with Mobile One. Car run great and never drove in Winter time. There are some rock chips on front bumper and hood. Engine is dry and no leaks.

I never do a private sale before so I am new at this. Loved the car but too old to take care of it. If you lived in the area (MD, DC, VA) you can come by to see and make me your best fair offer. I guaranteed I will sale it cheaper than anyone else but not too dirt cheap. When I have a chance I will take some photos.

Since you are new at this....
Posting pictures (the more the better!) and asking price will help generate potential interest in your car. Might also want to mention info on tires and brakes.

Best of luck!

Thanks...I just updated the title to put the asking price for $6000 including the hardtop. I will try to get the photos when I have the chance. Is that a fair asking price?

Yes i'd say $6,000 is a fair price.

Agree. Knowing nothing else about your car, your asking price is not out of line at all.

You have a great looking car!
Here's other things to think about including as most folks on this forum do not live in your area.

Does your power top work?
How does the rear window look?
Still might want to include info in tires (tread wear and date code) and brakes (any recent pad, rotor, fluid replacement?

Trying to be helpful as to the info prospective buyers may be interested in.
Good looking car...it should sell!!

This is a very good deal! Someone should buy it and maybe for peace of mind get it PPI from a good porsche shop. But I think still a good buy.

JohnH123 04-10-2019 10:23 AM

yes looks to be a clean car, I love the earlier 2.5 Boxsters!. Its unfortunate that tiptronics are much harder to sell than manuals. GLWS.

SOLD!!!! Sold it to a new Porsche Enthusiastic in Pennsylvania. He made a deposit and will come back to pay the rest and hope he enjoys the car as I did. My next one will be 911 air cooled. Thank you everyone!

Thanks for selling this car to me! Car is not garaged in Harrisburg, PA, pending registration next weekend! Can't wait to drive it around!
