WTB: 986 Boxster S 6MT in Socal
 

I'm looking to buy a 986 S manual transmission in or around Los Angeles. My top color choice is silver but would also consider gray, black, or blue. My budget is $6k up to $11k depending on year and condition.

At the top end of that budget, I'm expecting a well-maintained 2003 or newer 986S with a clean looking interior/top and no material mechanical issues. I am not looking for a perfect "collector's" car. I'm just looking for a car in reasonably good shape for 15-20 years old. Slightly higher mileage doesn't scare me, in fact, I would probably avoid a car that's sat for years unless it has IMS replacement documentation.

At the low end of that budget, I'm expecting a car that runs reasonably well but perhaps needs a little work. Preferably interior/cosmetic issues like torn seats or a worn top, but mechanical issues short of a blown clutch are things I'd be ok with. Not looking for a complete restoration project, but I work on my own cars and don't mind fixing things.

I haven't had much luck through Craigslist/autotrader, but I'm hoping there's a fellow enthusiast out here who's looking to move on from their 986 S.
