Good luck in your search. The SoCal area should provide lots of options.

BTW- the 2000 to 2002 base Boxsters have a 2.7l engine with 217 hp versus 201 on the 2.5l engines. Buy the best condition, newest Boxster you can find. Porsche tends to make upgrades almost every model year.

Looks like a really sweet example, but I am looking to spend south of $10k as I am in the process of restoring my 914. This will be another weekend car so won't mind a few more miles on the clock so long as if the IMS & clutch has been done.

Looks like many cars to choose from out here, just waiting for several sellers to ring me back.

Thx, good luck with your search.

Finally found my car, a 2002 with 91,000 miles on the clock. Throughout this process I have identified 3 others not yet listed on the market. A 1997 & 1999 base as well as a 2001 S. All owned by Porsche shops that acquired them when customers did not want to deal with extensive repairs.

If anyone is also looking please PM for details. Thx.
