I am also selling a brand new Underdrive Pulley Kit for the Boxster.
For the person buying the car, I can throw that in along with more upgrade parts I never got around to installing.

Need more info please

The carfax only shows work done at beverly hills porsche and pacific porsche and nothing about this Callas Rennsport work. What am I missing here? Also, shows you as owning it for past 4.5 years. That true?:)

Shred 01-02-2017 11:29 AM

Yeah Carfax doesn't actually show a car's real service history, it only shows the places who reports to them what they want. I have all the service records from day of delivery until now in a folder. All real receipts with everything in details, order chronologically from replacing a simple screw to the clutch.

A full service records also gives a good idea of what the upcoming costs of owner a car will be. For example, you know you don't need a new water pump or clutch for a how many miles etc.

I don't consider Carfax 'real records' when looking for a Porsche.

What's wrong is you're looking at Carfax like it's accurate, it isn't. Carfax gets info from shops or agencies that report to them, many don't, also the info is only as good as the person sending it to them. I have a friend with a service shop who reports to Carfax, I could not tell you how many times his mechanics punch info in twice because they put in the wrong mileage or missed a digit (like put in 110,000 miles when it is 101,000 and it shows up as a discrepancy). Also many cars that are wrecked with no insurance are never reported.
Point is Carfax is not a bible, just a reference to use during your research.

For the work I've done myself, I have all the receipts for the parts and I write down the miles I've done it and takes photos while I am doing it for my own documentation. I thought I was going to drive this car forever like I have for all my cars in the past.

Here is a longer blablabla version of the ad on Rennlist LOL

Thanks for Update

Thanks for the update - and thanks for the education on CarFax. I realize it is not a Bible but still is a piece of info that's why I asked about it. :) -
