Raby Powered 2001 Boxster S
Full high performance Flat6 Innovations built 3.6 engine with L&N heads, Pistons rods, et al. Full Fabspeed exhaust system, headers, cats the whole works. Cold air intake, and built as one of Jake's first few high performance M96 motors. Also has rebuilt transmission, new clutch, fairly new Mo30 suspension, corner balanced. Has the latest in Flat6 IMS replacement, with oil line routed into case for constant lubrication of Jake's newest solution.
2001 Boxster S, Rain Forest Green metallic, with hardtop. The soft top has been inside the car 95% of the time since I bought it in 2008. It is still very black, but plastic window is creased a bit from being folded up so much. The car has ~80kmiles. Jake rebuilt the motor at 47k and he's had it apart to change IMS solution each time a new approach has come to light. The engine was built for maximum torque and throttle response, not max HP at high RPM. I'm pretty sure the compression ratio is 12.75 to 1. That's how I remember it anyway. I might need to verify that with Jake. This was at my behest for street driving, not racing, and I have not raced it. As one of the first few cars he built, it was tested, retested, and retested many times by Jake. Every oil change since at 5k or less at Flat6 with oil and filter analyzed according to what you might expect. I don't have current HP and torque numbers as it has changed several times over the past few years. I'm sure Jake will provide the numbers if I ask him. Please don't contact Jake unless you have communicated with me and have a real interest in buying the car. I don't want Jake to get deluged with questions. If you search this forum for my content, you will find he has commented on the car more than once.
I never intended to sell this car, but I've had a couple of neck surgeries that left my right arm almost useless with some motions and I have a really hard time with the simple task of changing gears, even though I can still swing a golf club, so go figure!
I have no idea if I can recoup any of the money I have in the car. Suffice it to say the drivetrain cost me significantly more than the car is worth, even more than I paid for it in 2008. I'm going to start out asking $25,500. If I can't get it, I'll move the engine into a tiptronic 996 I recently purchased and sell the Boxster with the 996 motor for commensurately less. Pictures to follow. I just decided to sell the car today and don't have any recent shots... When the sun comes out, I'll take some and get them in the post.
Contact: Steve at smshirk at gmail dot com. If you PM here I may not see it as soon as you might expect. It is not currently listed anywhere else and I'll leave it that way for a week or so and give you guy’s first crack at it.
