xxx SOLD xxx 2008 Boxster S Limited Edition - $37,400 (obo) - 19851 miles

So got the fever for a new Porsche, so need to find a good home for this one. I bought this Boxster new in December 2007 from Porsche of West Houston dealer.

As the low miles indicate, its been just an occasional weekend getaway kind of car for my wife and I. Otherwise it sits in the garage under a dust cover.

This car is absolutely perfect condition. It doesn't even have any rock dings because I put a clearshield on right after purchase. The only trips to the dealer service have been for routine maintenance, and recently to replace the tire pressure monitor sensor batteries in all four wheels. All maintenance records are available to the buyer.

Its been a blast to drive, and gets a lot of comments and attention wherever we go.

For the details:

VIN: WP0CB29818U730435 (for CARFAX purposes)

19851 miles
3.4L with 6-speed

Completely original except for: window tint, clearshield and Porsche dealer installed factory iPod dock.

This Limited Edition comes with many interesting factory installed options:
  • Alcantara on seats, steering wheel, and gearshift
  • Black painted wheels and emblems on trunk and door seals
  • Orange painted interior trim that matches body paint
  • Sport Chrono package
  • Sport exhaust package
  • Aero body trim package
  • Bi-Xeno headlights
  • Bose sound package

I think I read somewhere the 3.4L in the Limited S had a few more horsepower than a regular S, but not sure about that.

Oh, and I'll include the Porsche OEM car cover in the deal too.

Pictures, including a scan of the original sticker are attached.

The car is located in Austin TX.

Beautiful car. I always liked that one in that color.

Funny Story

I recall one time pulling up to a stoplight where a "panhandler" was working the line of cars. He strode straight over to me and said "great looking car!!".

Basically he forgo 'working' the line of cars by standing there chatting with me about the car - asking lots of questions. He seemed to know a bit about sports cars, and was asking some reasonably good questions.

I've experienced a lot of reactions from people with the car, but that one always stuck in my memory.

cheers,
Dennis

Wow. Gorgeous car... If I was looking for a second porsche this might be it. GLWS!
I know someone who might be interested, I'll pass it along...

Adjusting the price...

I'm starting to wonder if some folks are not so keen about bright orange Boxsters. Would be interesting to hear some opinions about this.

For example, are some people afraid of attracting too much attention from law enforcement???

Where exactly does Porsche think we are going to find premium for $2.80 per gallon? Even in 2008.

Plus, how many Boxster owners actually get 18/26 MPG?

The motor noise is too intoxicating to keep off the gas pedal!! :D

I love the color. Very unique and you just never see it. All the trim paint, wheels etc...it just looks right.

She is beautiful...wish I had seen this before I bought my current boxster, but then again I was able to pay cash and have no car note. I would be tempted with this example, though. I looked at Cayman S for the same price in Austin w/Black HREs and was a bit in love, but like this one better...

New owner is from here in Austin, so I'm sure you'll see it around.

Awesome! I've seen some nice Porsches in the area. Used to race a red C4S in my 350Z before some lady was too busy texting and plowed into me @ 70mph. Of course, if that wouldn't have happened, I wouldn't have bought the BMW which led me to buy a Boxster as a 2nd car after 3.5 years of physical rehab and wanting to get back into something that could kill me. :D
