1998 Boxster 2.9L
1998 Boxster 2.9L with 27k miles
-Nickies Cylinders by LN Engineering
-R&R Billet Connecting Rods
-J&E Pistons
-LN IMS Upgrade with Ceramic Triple Roller Bearing - Not Just Retrofit
-LN Billet Chain Tensioner
-New Water Pump
-Balanced Rods, Crank, and Pistons
-New Cam Chain Tensioner Pads
Basically a completely Upgraded Motor with Documentation. Car is in Showroom Condition
Includes Hardtop.
The way I figure it, the car without the upgraded engine is probably worth maybe 9 grand or so. If someone bought one and did the work I did - It'd be about another $10,000 or so, not counting Labor.
I'm asking 18,500 obo. Car is Located in Plattsburgh, NY

I can't quite make out the details in the images, do you have larger versions you could post?
Looks nice, GLWS.

It's a metallic black. I should probably post the name of the color. I'll look it up tomorrow.

The results are in: 242hp at the crank, and 231 lbft of torque.....

mmhmm very nice. So whats that to the wheels? Typical 15% flywheel loss sooo.... like 206hp to the wheels? Isn't that less than a stock 2.7? Hmm... Interesting...

The 206hp at the wheels is correct. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that Porsche gives the ratings at the wheel, just the crank. That said, the 2.7 stock, according to porsche specs is 217 hp, compared to my 242. The torque is 192 lbft to my 231 lbft. That does assume 15% drivetrain losses, as you said. It is more powerful than a stock 2.7 to be certain.

It definitely feels quicker than an S. I guess it's true that people ask for horsepower and buy torque!

You have a very nice car. With all your mods and upgrades you may want to drive that car for a while. It is very hard to get Mod Money back. $18.5K seams too steep with all the under $10K cars available.

Agreed. Seeing that i could buy a 1997 boxster with a bad engine for like $4000, put a 3.2L carrera motor in it for like $6000, put in a limited slip for another $2000, add the right headlights, taillights, and interior for another $4000 and walk away with the boxster i've always dreamed of for $16000... But i would NEVER be able to sell it for that.
You have a beautiful car man, drive it and appriciate it... If you planned on making money off of it, theres no way, sorry to break it to you man. Hope all is well.
