2001 Boxster S

Ok wife is freaking out and the car must go now that she saw the bill for the fresh engine. List of maintenance this past year, New top with heated glass window, brakes, power steering rack, clutch. Fresh out of pocket engine via no warranty, mistake on my part. Sharp looking car, just has to go, not my words. So someone looking for a good reliable 01s with virtually everything major recently replaced. Midnight metallic blue, 107k mi. Asking 15k to break even on recent bills. I will take some pics this evening when I get home if it isn't raining too bad. ltaudio@aol.com or 570-847-8185.

Sorry to hear it has to go. I know my wife would say the same thing to me if my engine was out.

GL with the sale and better luck with the wife.

you emphasize where the engine came from and any warranty that attaches if those are favorable. I'm thinking that fresh engine can be a Porsche sourced engine with warranty or it can be a used engine with one thing fixed from some unknown source. Makes a difference.

Good luck.

(Know where you are coming from. Had a BMW 2002 1970 that the wife thought was always in the shop and thus must be a lemon when in reality it was just being improved with Koni shocks, reclining seats, etc. Knowing what was important to my happiness, I sold the car. Still married 30+ years later. She is also the one who suggested I buy both Boxsters I've owned in the last 7 years.)

Sorry its a motor meister salvage with 76k on it, all critical seals replaced and tolerances checked. Ready to go and runs great, much stronger than the old motor, guess it was on its way out for some time. Feels like a rocket compared to what it use to be. And it dose not smoke at start up, kinda weird not sending up smoke signals to let the neighbors know I am ready for work.
