Kind of funny to see a perfectly good steering wheel surrounded by carnage. If the "car" is for sale, I'm not quite sure what part they expect someone will want.

If only I lived closer to Las Vegas! It's at ZERO bids right now!!! :p

I mean really, WTF, the only value to that pile is the scrap value. Would you feel comfortable using any parts that could be salvaged from that? But hey, somehow the air bag is not deployed!?!?!?

I am going to need driver side door, quarter panel and rocker panel (at least).
Could I buy a wreck with the left side intact (transport it) and then have a body shop do the transplant?

Wondering if it would be cheaper than buying the pieces from a dismantler.

Price it out and compare, but I imagine you're going to be paying more for a whole wreck rather than just buying the pieces you need. The shipping/transport alone may even cost more than the few parts you need. Where something like a wrecked car really comes in handy is if you've got major damage to your car (engine fire) and need to replace wiring, engine, trans, interior, etc. Then you can have a complete, but damaged car, to pull pieces from here and there as you need them. If your damage is more straightforward, then I'd just buy what you need.

Still Boxsters are pretty common. You might be able to find one locally that's been totaled and save on shipping. Look around, do some comparisons, and figure out what works best in your case. Remember that the wrecked car still has some residual value (at least as scrap metal) even after you've pulled some parts off of it, so that needs to be taken into consideration.
