You have a nice clean base car there.

Unfortunately, boxsters like yours, regardless of mileage, are going for way lower than 21k.

Thank you very much for your advice. Honestly, I have been hearing that from some. But, having done a comparison of vehicles within a 50 mile radius of my location, considering mileage and condition, I am in line with those other vehicles. Truly, that is how I determined the price.

However, I am listening to offers.

BTW - your S is a really fantastic car.

dont lose hope, there will be a buyer.

I paid close to that for a 2003 boxster CPO with less than 9000 miles. So I'm sure you can find someone close to your range.

Documentation and service counts alot (to me at least).

hate to say it, but that is abit high.
This is the worst time to sell sports car, there are so many of them for sale. (I know, I work in used car dealership)
I tried selling my car and gave up after getting some rediculosly low offers and a bunch of tire-kickers with no money to buy it in the first place.

If you are really trying to sell it - post it on Autotrader (no affiliation), you are going to get alot more traffic. That will also help you establish what your car is worth in your area.
Nice car, good luck with the sale.

Just remember it is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it. Get it in front of that one buyer who will fall in love with your car soon. As the temperature drops, so goes the selling price. Comparing actual SOLD prices is much more useful than listed prices in your area.

Exactly. We recently bought a Mazda 3 and the seller countered our initial offer with autotrader listings near her much higher price. After thinking it over she agreed to sell the car at a lower price rather than wait for who knows how long. Could she have gotten more from someone else? Probably. But price is also a reflection of one's motivation to sell. How motivated are you?

TitanSteel 09-21-2009 05:03 PM

I am not desperate to sell (it is a really great car) - but if someone came relatively close to the price, I would sell it.

Truth be told, I have my eye on a "new" leftover RS 60. Don't need it, but if I sold my car to a good home, I would probably consider buying it.

If I don't sell it, then I still get another year with an awesome car!

Thank you to all those who posted / displayed interest :)

Yes, and there are also other vehicles with five times the mileage and are asking incrementally less than I am. Certainly, I am listening to all offers.
