For sale: 2004 Boxster S

Never thought this day would come, but uncertainty in the industry compells me to put my baby on the block. :ah:

Price reduction to $25k and now listed on ebay.

dmcutter 05-21-2009 05:02 PM

Reduced again to the low, low price of $23.5k. Tell you what, this market sucks, if you'll pardon my French.

French

No need to apologize, we all know the French suck.

Wow, bummer, hate to see you part with the ride, especially with those awesome lower stress bars on it!

The market is TERRIBLE right now, but at least it's the right time of year to sell a convertible. Keep your chin up though, there are buyers out there trying to take advantage of this market. I know, I just bought a 996 three weeks ago, but yeah I did pay a very low price. You can sell your Boxster, the only issue is what you'll get for it!

Post a link to your eBay auction if you put it back up there.

Here's the link.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Porsche-Boxster-S-6-spd_W0QQitemZ250428061804QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Car s_Trucks?hash=item3a4eacf86c&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 &_trkparms=72%3A317|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

Anyone know how to make that link active?

If it doesn't sell for this, f it, I'll keep it. At this point in the recession I'm as confident as I can be that my job is secure.

My dad is leasing a VW ragtop and his lease runs out in less than a month. He's looking at the VW Eos, Mazda Miate (Mx-5?) and MIni. I'm trying to talk him into buying mine. Told him I"d buy it back in 3 years. He'd probly put less mileage on it per year than I do, and he's a notorious short shifter-it won't get worn out, and when I go visit him in Asheville I can borrow it and roost through the twisty mountain roads. That would be pretty much win-win for me

Here you go.

link to car

I checked out your car, looks real good. The only suggestion I have is to install some spacers to improve the look and stance. Since the car is lowered, it makes the wheels look sunken in some without the spacers. It's a relatively cheap upgrade and may help with selling the car.

Should you need to relist it, put it on for 15k and set a private reserve price. This way, folks can start bidding low and build some momentum toward the reserve.

dmcutter 05-24-2009 07:09 AM

Feh. If my dad doesn't want to buy it, I'll probly just keep it and sell my bike instead. Other than the fact that the bike does 0-100 in 5 sec, the car has everything over it. It just doesn't make sense-look at any new car that costs what Boxes are going for and there is no comparison in performance and handling.
