First of all there is nothing wrong with the cars built in Finland. They are of the exact same quality as the cars made in Germany. Porsche has the same standards at both plants. They started making cars in Finland only because the Boxster became such a big seller and they ran out of production capability to meet demand out of Stutgart alone.

Second, regarding the Governator raising your tutition bill. I do not feel sorry for you at all. Your State tutition as been stupid cheap for too long. The socialist state mentality just can't be aforded by the tax payers any longer. Welcome to the real world.

btw, you didn't say how much you're asking for your Box.

You can go to an excelent school in North Carolina (I.e. Chapel Hill) if you are a resident for 5k

I dunno the truth about this, but I have a "buying a porsche" book and it says that sometimes the Finish cars are of higher quality. But as stated before, a Porsche is a Porsche and they go through the same quality checks.

Oh and 1600 kilos is over 3,500 pounds. Boxsters don't weight THAT much. Its closer to 1350 Kilos/2980 lbs.
 Good luck selling the vehicle!

im asking 14K. oh and a friend of mine from belgium was very particular when he bought his porsche that it be made in germany...apparently it had nothing to do with quality..probably just ego or pride?lol. supposedly the ones made from germany have had less issues than those from finland, according to him. just spreading the word of what ive heard, cuz he's a hardcore porsche enthusiast and VERY picky..but apparently, in this case its not true.
secondly..i pay about 12k a quarter for tuition&housing, three times a year..not including food, books, etc (oh yea..and another $1,400 for summer school this year). i pay for everything myself and ive had to take out loans and whatnot...im not askin or even expectin pity..im just sayin that we all gotta do what we gotta do..like for instance..selling my beloved porsche for something more affordable..cuz i am a college student after all.lol. finally..regarding the weight...i must have been drunk while typing it or something, because i was going through the owners manual while writing that, and its really not 1600kg like i stated..and i know that.lol. so thanks for bringin it to my attention fragdude. but yea...ill post some pics tmrw perhaps. cheers.

Tawaty, I was just busting your chops New York style. I lived in CA for a while and my wife went to Cal State Northridge and I paid her tuition. This was back in 2004 and it was dirt cheap. But if you are paying $12K a quater for tuition then I do feel sorry for you. But I sure hope you're going to USC and not a State school otherwise you are way over paying at $12K a quarter. I sent my son to Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks at $28K a year and that's a really good private college.

lol..thanks..i see it as a sort of hazing, welcoming me to the boxster forum.lol. and i DO go to USC! good guess 2000socalboxsterS! another year though and im done, so im excited. last year i payed about 40k in the whole year for food, tuition, housing, etc etc etc. it REALLY sucks. were on semester, but i made arrangements with my financial aid advisor to split it up into three payments..i kinda wish this school was cheaper..oh well. when im done, maybe i can carrera?! hopefully all the hardwork and money will payoff.
ill add some pics of the car on tues, got a guy coming this afternoon to have a look. hope ur all enjoying ur summer
