Toy hauler
 

Hi all
I’ve been bitten by track day addiction. Want to go to more events further away. I have found some models of toy hauler travel trailers that specs look like will work for my boxster. Interior Size and weight are in range.. anyone do this? Concerned in ramp clearance and transition into trailer.

enclosed or open? i had issues with the 3" high lip on the ramp on mine - fixed with a piano hinge and a strip of plywood.

Lip from pavement to ramp or ramp to trailer floor? Enclosed like atc brand

My major concern is transitioning from ramp to trailer floor

pavement to ramp. piano hinge along entire lip of ramp with a 2' flap that extends length of ramp and eliminates lip. folds out of the way when you raise ramp.

i have a 'dovetail' (ore beaver tail) trailer that reduces the break angle from ramp to trailer floor.

Make sure it is actually rated for an auto. I have a 30' toyhauler that I use for motorcycles. It's capacity is OK for my Porsche and it would fit, but the ramp would collapse according to the manufacturer.
