Best way to mount a brake pressure sensor?
 

Where do you install an adapter for a brake pressure sensor? I saw a product which uses a hose and an adapter, but for several reasons I would like to keep hardlines wherever possible.

Has anyone made an adaptor for the hardline?

how about on the bottom of your shoe?

That one has been installed, but needs calibrating :D

The other one is for datalogging. I'll only be able to hit the track 4-6 times per year, so might as well have some data to look at.

iirc durametric can grab data from abs unit?

That may be accessible through an OBD2 dongle. I'll need to find out more about that.

Use brass T fittings and branch off where the jounce hose connects.

Is the jounce hose the line coming off the front of the master cylinder?

I meant at the wheel corner where the rubber or stainless line connects but it might be safer at the master. You just have to know what circuit you are tapping into. Do you have only one sensor?

Unfortunately, the sensor are fairly pricey. I only have one for now. I'm going to machine an adapter and plump it to the outlet from the master cylinder.

Does anyone know which outlet from the master is for the front brake circuit?

My brake pressure sensor is T'd into the front brake channel line between the master cylinder and ABS unit.

I don't know it was done by the guy who built my car, it is a stainless braided line with crimped fittings, could have been custom made by a hose shop, not sure.

My company does brake testing so we use those fittings all the time. We have to have them made for all the different sizes and flares.

You might get lucky finding a T from a Porsche rear brake system where it splits to go to each rear wheel

I was thinking about the rear T-piece, but it the lines fort the rear are thinner than those coming from the master cylinder.

Do you know what type of flare I need? I have access to a reasonable crimper, but the lines are very hard, so I'm not convinced It will work.

Thanks, but there's no need. I don't think a picture can give me the info I need. I red somewhere else that you're running a 997 master cylinder. Is that correct? I may want to go that road so I'm going to hold off on mounting the pressure sensor until I've got all the information I need to make my mind up.

Update. I've decided to make a banjo bolt and adapter similar to that used in the cup cars. I've got a mill and a lathe, so it should be the cleanest and cheapest solution.
